Install on Android

JobFitAI ships as a Trusted Web Activity (TWA) — the full website packaged as a native-feeling Android app, published through Google Play.

Option 1 · Install right now (no Play Store needed)

JobFitAI is an installable web app. On Android with Chrome:

  1. Open this site in Chrome.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu → Add to Home screen (or “Install app”).
  3. Launch JobFitAI from your home screen like any app.

Option 2 · Google Play (TWA) — maintainer guide

The Play listing is managed from Google Play Console. Once the app is approved, users install it directly from the Play Store listing.

Build the signed AAB (on your computer)

The AAB is built locally with JDK 17 and Bubblewrap — it is not hosted on this site. From the project folder:

Keep the generated keystore file and passwords safe — every future update must be signed with the same key.

Upload the AAB in Play Console

  • Play Console → Create app (name: JobFitAI) → enrol in Play App Signing.
  • Create an Internal testing release and upload app-release-bundle.aab.
  • Store listing assets are ready in play-store/: the 512×512 icon, 1024×500 feature graphic and three phone screenshots.
  • Privacy policy URL (required): https://bibicons.com/privacy

Verify the domain with assetlinks.json

To remove the browser address bar, Android must verify that the app owns the domain. Publish a Digital Asset Links file at:

https://bibicons.com/.well-known/assetlinks.json

Replace YOUR_PLAY_APP_SIGNING_SHA256 with the fingerprint from Play Console → Setup → App signing → App signing key certificate → SHA-256 (use the Play App Signing fingerprint, not your local upload key), then republish the site.

Test and promote to production

  • Add yourself as an internal tester and install from the testing link — the app should open full-screen with no address bar.
  • Complete Data Safety, content rating and target-audience forms.
  • Promote the release: Internal testing → Closed/Open testing → Production.
